Importance of Sustainable Sourcing

I’ve been thinking a lot about how critical it’s to prioritize sustainability in our lumber procurement. Not only does it help the environment, but it can also lead to cost savings in the long run. I’m curious about what strategies others are using to ensure their sourcing remains both responsible and economical.

, sustainable sourcing is such a pain sometimes! We’ve been trying to use certified lumber, but let me tell you, it’s not always the cheapest option. I did find that using local suppliers can cut costs significantly while also supporting the community.

I hear you! We switched to using local sawmills for our lumber recently, and while it wasn’t the cheapest route, the quality and reduced transportation costs balance it out. It’s like finding a great coffee shop; it might cost a bit more, but that local feel makes it worth it.
