I recently started exploring the use of bent laminations in my projects, and it’s opened up so many creative avenues — for instance, I made a curvy lounge chair that feels both modern and inviting. I’m curious if anyone else has experimented with this technique and how it impacted their work or client satisfaction?
Bent laminations really can take your designs to another level. I made a wavy bookshelf recently that turned out to be a hit, but I had to be extra careful with the glue up — too much pressure, and it starts curling like my morning toast! Have you found any specific glue or techniques that work best for you?
I get what you mean about opening creative avenues; making that curvy lounge chair sounds amazing! I’ve used bent laminations in a coffee table design, and it really pushed my skills, especially with getting the curves just right. But , the glue up can be such a pain.
