Creating a Modern Walnut Table

I recently started a project building a modern walnut dining table for a client who wanted a blend of functionality and aesthetics. I used a combination of traditional techniques and some new joinery methods, which sparked great conversation about how we can innovate classic designs. Has anyone else experimented with mixing styles in their work?

And mixing styles can really elevate a piece, kinda like pairing a peanut butter burger with a chocolate shake — unexpected but delicious! Have you considered using contrasting finishes on your walnut to highlight those joinery techniques? I’d love to see how it turns out.
